I think it probably was a little easier to justify when an IRL hour was an IC day, but having the short timescale brought with it other areas where you had to suspend your disbelief (like multi-day RP sessions LOL). It's a tradeoff.
There's a pretty robust biome shift across Sapiance. You have a desert and a jungle in the south, temperate zones, and then a tundra. I think that suggests that it's gotta be pretty big. Westeros has a similar biome disparity, and GRRM was pretty go…
I think the video game analysis is pretty helpful when it comes to looking at these events, though it's probably overall safer to look at long-running MMOs. I know Spirit's definitely had their hand forced on events before in antiquity, so it really…

Idk we tend to get stuff like that, too. It's just a consequence that happens from trying to shift the balance. I don't think it diminishes the W, necessarily, and it does set up future stories. This seemed like a pretty solid win, though, …

I don't see this happen ever. I'm not online 24/7 but I literally haven't seen someone disparage anybody for not PKing, or attack them personally for PKing badly, in, like--I mean I just don't think I've ever seen it once, honestly. The wor…

I'm not sure if this is threatening to break past the scope of the topic, because I really don't want this to become a "Spinesreach sucks, and they screwed everything up" conversation, because I truly don't believe that. Spines has some rea…

I just wanna step in here and point out that...I don't think it's ever been said with a negative attitude? I've literally never seen someone try to villanize or disparage Sunder. I do think its ubiquity and ease-of-access and …
Is there any hope of this thread not becoming yet another tether-tribalism-rife nightmare of everyone getting in a contest to see who can be the least charitable? I feel like there's a lot of nuance just being glossed over in order to turn this into…
I'm sure there's a world where Enorian and Duiran have more independent RP while both cities get to keep their classes. Like didn't Severn invent the Syssin or something? And yet every dingdong with some credits to spend has the class if they want i…
The question of me (some guy not in an order) defending, say, Almol (damsel in distress 🥺) while he raises shrines, and whether or not you get PK on the person defending? And whether that person has any right to defend to begin with? Did I read that…
This is a pet peeve @ the universe, but I've had at least two possibly fun RP things cut short recently due to real life. Yesterday a scene started when I was basically falling asleep at my keyboard and had to qq, and today I got a call from my kid'…
That's a helpful clarification to post (I was curious myself), but, man, it's sucky to call everything you don't like "whining." You're better than that.

idk I think we could all stand to be a lil more chill about issuing. It can be a pretty fantastic tool for getting rule clarifications, and for stuff like this it's vital. I think too many people think of issues as a retribution-seeking mac…
Doesn't come across as a dig at all. The problem presently seems to be [some number of people] who like playing shadow characters who are doing this, so it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. And yeah, it's unsettling, and given that it's driven O…
Oh yeah that's been a big problem shadow tether, too. Like 3, 4 people maybe keep rolling new characters to make romantic passes at the same folk they keep getting rebuffed by. It's extremely silly but also creepy.
