1v1 requires individuals willing to participate in such a setting. In the absence of these, enforcing these with mechanical changes will only lead to lack of participation in combat as a whole, and is a bad idea for this reason.

Critical bruising can be cured over a restoration break, as long as you apply directly to that limb (ie, if you apply to left leg it will cure, if you apply to legs, it will not). A bit clunky, but there you go. Other types of bruising can't be cure…
