I'm dredging this one up since I really want to give some feedback - good feedback!
Saybre came into Rihrin's life and really just helped keep me from sidehopping her. I wasn't expecting it, and had all the plans ready to go, but there he was - stepping in to save the day. And man, he really helped bring her better out of her shell. Helped her get interested in bashing, and fighting, a lot more than she had been. And, same at the player behind her level, honestly.
You write him so well! Every emote comes out naturally and often hysterically that I always have wanted more. You show his flaws, and his good aspects, so well that it sometimes challenged me to think about how to better develop my own writing and thoughts for Rihrin's outlook and all. And in general, you and he are both really absolutely a blast to play with.
I know that work/life has been a bummer for both of us, and that I'm an old lady often with my going to sleep at 9:30 pm, so I'm sad that we stopped getting many opportunities to really interact and hang out. But, I hope we'll get them again sometime soon. They were/are always the highlight of my day/night/etc.
I'm surprised I haven't done this yet - but I want to make sure to.
It's mostly to repeat what others have said - our interactions, especially early on, really helped shape Rihrin in many ways. She started out as this strict, specific zealot who didn't really want to think about things. She wanted to be that, a zealot. But when she decided to try to give Omei a shot, and you started to interact with her? I really feel like you specifically, though Omei in part, took her foundation and shook it. She ended up with her best friend, Stagbird, and a mind that was far more creative and willing to open up. Now, thanks to this, I still have a zealot - but one who is willing to look at other aspects of life with a more open mind.
Your character is well-written and you are a great writer of his story. I've known you for a long time, and I cannot say it enough. I miss us having more than just tell sessions, but I take every little bit of Iesid time that I can. Thank you for sticking it out, and being an amazing part of the game.
There are a handful of beautiful souls who's interactions with Straid have created both a complex character and a place that feels alive and vibrant. I feel challenged and supported at every turn and have watched my character grow in marvelously unexpected ways as a result of you lot. From the bottom of my wayward heart, thank you.
