There's no help with that kind of grief. Time eventually eases the jagged edges a little. Sometimes talking helps, sometimes it makes things worse - and there's no guarantee each day, each moment, which one will be the right thing. When nothing else helps, just breathe, and let your brain disengage if you can.

I can't agree with this more.

I woke up crying this morning from a dream I've had countless times since I was 9 years old. It's always the same. I'm running up stairs in a building and each floor I run towards the elevator where my younger brother is.. and just as I reach the elevator, the doors close and I head back up the stairs to the next floor. Robbie was 15 years old when he passed away in a car accident Feburary 26th of 2005. It's two weeks shy of that horrible day that's burned into my memories. I didn't allow myself to grieve for the longest time. I don't think it was even a conscious decision. It wasn't until the end of my first semester of college (on his birthday later that year) that I realized that my life was going on with out him. I got so angry and finally.. after a long day of drinking myself sick, I cried. Most days now I am just fine. Others, like today, I can't function.

I've learned that the old saying isn't 100% true. Time doesn't heal -all- wounds. It does, however, lessen them as Zeheia says. Everyone grieves differently. So talk. Don't talk. Disengage. Do whatever you need to do to grieve in your way. There's no right or wrong.

That wasn't an answer at all. It wasn't a timeframe at all, it wasn't anything other than "sometime something may be done" and a guilt trip for asking for answers when we were promised answers.

Just to clarify, I absolutely was not trying to guilt trip anyone. That was not at all the intention. What I was trying to do was provide some context; I've got no idea what's going on, maybe it's 2020 lingering, but most of us in the pools right now have had some sort of dramatic life change or disaster happen within the last month of the aforementioned variety. This, as you might expect, throws wrenches into things such as efforts (like this event) conceptualized and carried out by volunteers. If you consider that context guilt tripping, I'm sorry, but that wasn't at all what I meant it as.

I'm not sure who's being thrown in front of trains here (the comment was entirely of my own accord, as is this one) but I think the issue isn't so much that it wasn't an answer, and more that it wasn't an answer you liked. Which is totally fine and reasonable! You're totally valid and justified there to not like the answer.

But at the end of the day, that is the answer. We thought the person leading the event would be back sooner, they were not. Because we thought they'd be back sooner, nobody wanted to jump in and usurp their plans and take over their event. It's clearly gone on for longer than intended, so we're working on it now. This has our attention and we're working on it.

In the Carnifex, for example, we have Slaughter, Scholar, Religion and Lore. I think it would be SUPER COOL if gaining gr3 in a guild granted you a style scroll based on the path you chose for advancement. I think it would make sense for guilds that want to participate to submit orgreqs for something like this, but I did want to post somewhere more people than shadow web would see. In *video* games features like style scrolls are usually introduced to the player in some sort of readily available way to whet the whistle for potential further coolness. In Aetolia you're only exposed to style scrolls if you happen to be paying attention to someone else bashing or you get a promo. Took me at least a month to notice them!

So, Sentaari have something like this already, and as far as I know, should still be a thing. When you reach a certain rank in the guild, you get access to a guild specific style scroll for Tekura (I think it's Tundrol, I forget).

I've been trying to add new weapons to the game since forever. We'll be adding new weapons, though their uses might be boring. Templar's tough in that their weapon usage is 'all the things' so anything I add will go to them too. Warden's got more range.

Thank you. Disengaging is the only thing I've found to work - after that it just takes time, which by the way, sucks complete ass.

I think I've reached a point of stability; haven't felt like crying the instant I woke up. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me. It's not better, nor is it ever going to be, but it hurts a little less today.

My brother died this morning.

I don't know what to do.

I don't understand the emotions it's causing in me. I don't understand how to think anymore. I don't know how I'm supposed to act like everything is normal after this. I know deep down my body will reach its natural capacity for grief and essentially flush the system, but right now I'm like the crab in the bucket. I can't see outside of this feeling at all.

I don't know how I'm supposed to sleep tonight.

I don't even know why I'm posting this here, except that the alternative is to somehow hijack a news stream and tell the entire world.

Revenant is mirrorTemplar. It is nearly done.

Warden is mirrorCarnifex. Hound traits make it require a lot more writing than Revenant. But it got a big speed boost because Brax is unstoppable.
