Well The Grand Artifice was shotty at best. I believe it was the 'lol whatnot?' kind of thing to be done to the history. I mean, creating an actual IG history for something that's set in a setting like Aetolia. You'll need to get A LOT more history than anyone would want to begin to write at the start of it. I mean, more than a novel.

So many women and only one Benedicto to go around.
Why have I only just read this....?
(Order): Saarlamen says, "Lord Slyphe you do need an Incarnation power, though!"
(Order): Slyphe says, "I do, it is called 'Benedicto'."

You will now be known as Pimp Supreme, Benedicto Silverain, The Deliverer, by order of Arion, the Truthseeker.

Edit: To say a TL/DR. What was not really to?
Without knowing exactly what Atra was thinking, it was likely the whole 'the grand artifice was shotty at best' and 'you'd need more background than anyone would want to write'. The grand artifice was a plot device. They wrote -just- enough background for it to be viable and left huge gaps in the back story because they didn't need a comprehensive back plot.

Thanks, Chantel!

Xavin, that's what I was saying in different words..
What was editted out of that post:
Information has become available over the course of several years, but when the game first started out, would anyone would have wanted to write down all the histories of the cities, guild origins(as in the foundations of the skills not 'and they were taught to us by the Ankyreans'), history of the Divines, origins of people like Yretz(childhood and the like), and all of that? I mean when a game is starring out you give basic information and more becomes available over time. Would anyone really have wanted to write all of that when Aetolia first came out, if they didn't know if it was going to sink or swim.
Also, it allows people later on to add things to the history. This event is one of them. Other things can be added later on.

Agreed.
Seems to be a solid effort at updating the mythology by weaving together the past excuse for "lore" that we have had, and intertwining the modern Aetolian events to give it renewed relevancy and depth.
All of this from a source that is considered questionable by many, adds an extra element to the mix for RP debate.

Jeez, even when the Magi aren't Magi, they're still breaking things. Darn Ascendril!
..Pfft. There was only one Ascendril helping us.
Paris and Amara helped ... blow up the Needle and doom Ashtan.
.....oh man. I can't wait for him to realize that in game. XD

Issue #14001 Reported by: Ormus Re: Paris

multiple kills for the same arbitrary reason. I suspect he is using another character to log in and see if I'm on. It also appears that this may be a player using out of character grudges across the board to attack. If in fact his is Lanira's alt, she has enemied me to Enorian using her city powers for personal agenda. If these are not the same player I rescind the issue as it is in character, since Paris is a twit in realm.
