For those interested, a Minecraft server has been setup on a server by myself for the use of players from the Iron Realms games.

Details: Quad core, 64bit Debian. 4GB RAM. (3 assigned solely to the Minecraft process). Running 'Bukkit'.
Server address: iris.pharanyx.com

I jumped in lava after getting lost in the mines. Cool house to whomever built the pyramid next to the tree farm, though.

I've been playing on Tekkit lately.  I'm starting to get nervous at how much uranium Aishia and I have collected. There will be death and destruction soon.

Can't say I have come across those as yet. (I am a complete Minecraft noob. A friend is the game admin, I just provide the server).

Ahh, just checked on those. Both are not going to be possible, sadly. It would require fundamental changes to the server. Shame, that Voltz one looked so damned cool.

I'm running Bukkit and all suggestions so far are not compatible with that, sadly.

I've got Minescraft Pocket on my kindle. Map is kinda small, doesn't expand much. I'm on survival mode and frankly the zombies outside my walls are creepy, but it's pathetic how easily they're blocked. Put dirt blocks up in a 4 block wide square, and pile them 3 high. Then dig one layer deep. Dismantle at dawn.

Or play on survival mode without bad guys because you're a crybaby.

The only drawback on my Kindle is that the map is extremely small and I can't find anything besides sand, dirt, stone, more dirt. Still more dirt. What happened to caves and lava? Don't think it's in my version. Guess what I'm going to prob get for my bday next month...:D

*sigh* I got a nicely bundle of stuff and went off to scout the rest of my little world. Found a nice little cave in the tundra and went to jump in--and died by dint of understimating the distance 5 squares and a really deep puddle. And I can't find it again...

Sorry, totally missed this message. There has been an upgrade to the game server. We're working on bringing everything in line with the release. For now, stick with 1.4.7 until advised otherwise.

Also, in future, rather than post on here in the hopes I bother to check, if you email support@pharanyx.com, any issues will be addressed much, much quicker.

"It's up, and should be working fine (with the exception of Runecraft). As a note, if you built something in the nether, it is now gone entirely. Nether deletion ETA for new worldgen is... some time tomorrow. Send me an email at a.konnen@gmail.com or message to aethereal5610 on the server with coords in the nether if you have something that needs to be saved."
